The roof of the KC Pubic Library just happens to be across the street from a white building with no windows...a perfect place to project the GRL movie, HAPT and the graffiti machine. We'll need to ask permission, but I don't see how it would be much of a problem. Also, since nobody to my knowledge has done anything like this in KC...it could get us a lot of positive PR.


  • DEFCON wrap-up:
    • jur1st made an appearance on the live podcast Saturday night to discuss CCCKC (posted for your viewing pleasure)
    • We met a bunch of KC guys...many friends of hevnsnt and surbo who are really excited about the space and are ready to contribute.
  • Show and tell:
    • DEFCON badges
    • Local laser etching outfit. Discuss about what it takes to get things like that done.
    • NSA swag (not just for jur1st anymore!)
    • Stories....lots of them.
      • Subway hack talk which was blocked by the MTSA and federal court and want to talk about it. I
      • Sniffing Cable Modems
      • jur1st obtained an advance copy of a new Wireless auditing distro (OSWA) advanced (full version) courtesy of the Wall of Sheep guys. Copies for everyone interested!
      • Surbo might (guessing) that he can show off the new version of Karmasploit that was released this weekend
    • jur1st will have a copy of ALL of the talks from Black Hat and DEFCON within two weeks. It was a paid item, donations to jur1st might result in a copy of your own.

  • We've got some projects outlined that need some leads which we can cover.

  • New hackerspace funding if we can get it negotiated...will involve glass and lots of blinky lights.
  • jur1st has an idea for a project I want to complete before DEFCON next year which might be a lot of fun for everyone

  • Ax0n
    • Talk to DJs about roof-top party
      • Update: DJ Sydeburnz is in! He doesn't need much cash, but we should at least get him enough for a tank of gas. He's from Topeka. Syde-Sho
    • See about getting the long-throw/high-output projector for the rooftop party
      • I have requested permission to see if I will even stand a chance of getting access to the projector.
    • Work with Hevnsnt on networking details for the hackerspace

    • Work with Ax0n regarding Networking details. Suggest we make up a rough estimate of what we WANT, then see the space to see what we NEED.
    • Investigate alcohol (Boulevard, Other connections) for party. I require assistance from communication officer on how to approach these companies to explain the benefit of helping out a not for profit.
    • Begin marketing CCCKC on i-hacked and other avenues
